The location of the hotel was excellent, as it was right on the beach. Guests could enjoy the beautiful seaside views and the peaceful atmosphere away from the crowded waterfront strip. There were also nice beaches in the west within walking distance or a short bus ride away, making it convenient to explore and enjoy the lovely coastline. the hotel was close to a bakery shop and a minimarket, providing easy access to necessary amenities.
There was no shower curtain in the bathroom, which may be inconvenient for some guests.

The bathroom here was quite small.

Nice apartment in the best and quiet location not far from the centre, the Old town/harbour in the other direction and Chania Old Town. Location right on the beach.

Just got back from a wonderful weekend getaway! Loved the inside of the apartments, simple but clean. The view from the balcony was stunning, waking up to the sound of waves was so relaxing. The location was perfect, a short walk along a sandy beach to reach the town harbor and old city. Plenty of restaurants nearby and a supermarket just a five-minute walk away. The staff and owner were really friendly and helpful, and the rooms were cleaned every day. Free air-conditioning and safety deposit boxes were a nice bonus.
The only downside was the lack of a shower curtain, but that seems to be common in Greece. The fridge could have been more powerful, and the Wi-Fi wasn't very safe.

The location was perfect, right next to the beach and just a short walk to the town. We had a blast soaking up the sun and swimming in the crystal-clear waters. The nearby supermarket and bakery were super convenient, and we loved indulging in delicious snacks. The room may have been a bit basic, but who needs fancy when you're busy having fun with friends? The highlight was definitely the balcony with its breathtaking sea views. Plus, it was so peaceful and quiet, except for the soothing sound of waves crashing. We couldn't have asked for a better spot for our teenage getaway!
If there's one thing we would have liked more of, it's some lively nightlife nearby. As young party-goers, we crave those wild nights out with music and dancing.

A week-long stay made me feel like part of the family at Melani. Natalia and the team were incredibly helpful and kind, welcoming us with wine, fruit, and even a little gift and cake when we left. The spacious apartment was cleaned daily, and the fish tavern below, run by the same owner, offered the best views and friendliest waiter, Bob. For the best Cretan hospitality, look no further.
Do recommend this hotel. The staff was attentive, the location ideal for exploring both the island and the city, and the private beach, although mostly used by locals, added to the charm.

We had a fantastic stay at Melani! The owner made us feel right at home and the hotel had a wonderful Greek atmosphere. The location was perfect - within walking distance to Chania and beautiful beaches like Agi' Apostoli. The rooms were clean, spacious, and had great views of the sea. We loved being right by the water and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. we couldn't be happier with our stay at Melani.
Can't recommend this hotel highly enough.

The location was absolutely perfect, just a short stroll away from the main attractions. And being right on a secluded beach was a dream! the sound of the waves crashing was so soothing. the staff were super friendly and always made sure our rooms were clean and tidy. They even went the extra mile and washed our dishes sometimes, how awesome is that? We also appreciated being able to print our bus tickets at the hotel. And let me tell you, the restaurant downstairs served some amazing Greek food, especially those small unfried fishes. Yum!
That the mattresses on the beds were a bit too hard for our liking. It made it a little difficult to get a good night's sleep.

The staff is incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel like VIP guests throughout our stay. The location is mind-blowing, with a small private beach right at our doorstep and only a short walk from the charming city center. The cozy tavern below, serving high-quality food, set the bar high for an incredible dining experience. With spotless apartments, free safe, air conditioning, and friendly owners, it was a dream come true. We can't wait to return!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at an apartment by the beach in a quiet part of Chania. Waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the sea was a truly tranquil experience. The double glazed balcony door and additional door allowed me to shut out any unwanted noise and light. The apartment was exceptionally clean and tidied every day, with sheets and towels changed regularly. The owner and his family, who run the apartments and the taverna below, were incredibly welcoming and accommodating. The food at the restaurant was delicious, and I enjoyed dining there with the local families in the lovely family atmosphere. I had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend this hotel.
